I suspect you just dont want it to be true so that you can make weird ships between the two, lol. *EDIT* To anyone commenting that Asriel is alive at the end of the game, yes you do see him back in the ruins, but he says he will eventually become a flower again, losing his body, so only Flowey is left, not Asriel. Asriel had tried to contact (Y/n) but couldnt get through, he decide he give up on calling him for now.
